Perhaps it was worth mentioning that Zune has a wireless sync feature which can activate upon docking.

So you should be able to safely plug it in, and have it sync wirelessly with your PC, for added bonus.

I'm still waiting for Bose to come out with a Zune specific docking station.

I just got mine today. I can't wait to put it to work!

Clock on a Zune! oh wait...

i got excited when i saw clock for zune, maybe i thought there was a new firmware, oh well

whoa 7th grade? I just plug my Zune into my Stereo and have the TV turn on to Video 1 when it's time to wake up.

At least that's what I used to do until my parents complained that I put it too loud. But that's the only way I can hear it! So now I just wait till my mom wakes up and starts slamming doors around. =P

after much nagging begging and crying over pushed back release dates it was finally released and i bought it at circuit city for 100 bucks. i think it was saturday. so far my only complaints so far is while playing music to fall asleep to zune backlight stays lit which makes it hard for me to sleep. my other complaint is the buzzer sucks. im a heavy sleeper and it wont wake me up. time to set it to some norma jean extremely loud to wake me up for work :) over all a MUST HAVE for any zune owner.

Does anyone know if the original Zune 30 GB is compatible with the ZN9 clock radio .

in canada at futureshop theve been selling this unit for well over a month now, i find the buzzer not loud enough though...

Yup! Both physical sizes of the Zune are supported, from what I could see.

@ apathymusic

yes the zn9 is compatible with all zunes and each zune model has its own plate that comes with the clock to fit into the dock section of it.

Well it's about time. It has been at CES for the past 2 years and never came to fruition. At leaset it has a better display, but needs an auto-dimming display via photosensitive dimmer switch.

Also for the price it should also come with the remote like the iPod versions, which are cheaper. For now I think I will wait for the price drop, if I decide to get it. My current iHome works fine and has a USB port for charging other devices.

apathymusic, it is compatible with all forms of Zune.

Does anyone else have the problem that if wireless sync is set up, it uses the buzzer instead of the Zune?

yea.

is it compatible with the zune 30?

OH!

i answered my own question.

the dock is compatible with all zunes.

@apathymusic: yes, it is compatible with the 30 GB as well.

Well, my friend's got basically the same clock radio for his iPod and he likes it, so I'm going to assume the Zune version is the same under the hood. I think I'll pick one up this week....

Umm, yeah, so I went out and bought it. Best 'feature': finally being able to take full advantage of the Zune's wireless sync.

My desktop is basically always on. So, I walk in, dock the Zune without even thinking, and go on about whatever I was doing, and by the time I pick it up later, it's charged and synced. Those of you with docks already know this experience ;)

This is great! I've been waiting for one of these forever. Finally the market is learning that iPod is not the only mp3 player.

So is this thing actually out in stores now? I can't find it in any online stores or any thing and ihomes website says available august 2008?
